Zdog - so good to hear that, despite other ppls' experiences
(which I'm sure are true) there are still others, like you and
those you train with, who demonstrate the camaraderie and
helpfulness any GSD fan thinking about it would LIKE to see.
Thanks for sharing, and balancing up the picture.

Hah! Guess what. The Club I became a provisional Member of, in fact IS a French Ring Club also doing Schutzhund...

A lot of people I know are actually peeking over to the Malinois. Even I'm looking at switching over completely simply because the resources are not there. Can't do the IPO1 title without having access to tracking land... so Ring is a nice alternative.

All i can say is this and i thank my lucky stars to be living in Belgium and not having the problems that some of you Guys in the USA have finding a IPO Club; Still saying that Belgium had to start from the basics just as Germany did, so  if you keep plugging away it will come to turn out easier in the end. One thing which i think is the one problem that you have and this can stop any Sport from progressing  is your governing bodies who cannot seem at any time to work together to help the Sport Progress;
It is so stupid and i am afraid it is only the members who can change it by really being forceful and telling there organizations what they want if they refuse then go elsewhere . Dictatorship is bad enough in this world without committies doing the same to there members
