Can someone please explain what ez...u....di....etc means against a dogs name in the results of the Sieger show..what does the dog do or not do to be graded in these catagories????

U - ungenuegend (three sad sack grades below G -- VA,V, SG, G, A, B, U)

EZ - entschuldigt zurueckgezoegen (pulled with an acceptable excuse, eg. vet note)

Di -Disqualifiziert (disqualified)

And for the record, don't be fooled by that 'EZ' designation--those 'acceptable reason' notes are not hard to come by for the competitors at this level, and if someone's dog doesn't do as well as they'd have liked in the bitework portion, or wasn't placed in the desired ring during the first round of the confirmation portion of the show, it's not unusual for said dog to develop a gastrointestinal upset or something similarly easily-induced and bowing out of further competition. It isn't seemly for a VA dog from a previous year to land back in the SG ring, or embarass it's handler on the long defensive attack...
