I am very happy with Purina Pro Plan. My dogs look great and are very healthy. The last 10 (at least) winners at Westminster for Best in Show have been fed Pro Plan.

Well what works for my dogs, might not work for yours at all. I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, neither foods listed above are of very good quality. I would look for at least a four start diet, if not a 5 star...Dog Food Advisor.com has lots listed in the 4/5star category. Take your pick. Best of luck though whatever you decide, Nan

I have heard very good things about Abady's stress and maintenance formula

Farmina L&D- excellent quality European ingredients, very low carbs, high protein but not extreme.

Dog Food Advisor .. tells it like it is except they don't say that fresh animal protein and fats beats processed and dried no matter how it is processed and dried. Royal corn in a bag and Purina Pro poop are moon pies for dogs.

Of course there is nothing like fresh meat; not all can feed that or have access to fresh meats; best kibble is next In line with maybe cooked meats added...Nan

I don't see the economics of importing a dog for $5000 and then saving $20 per month on feed costs .. the dogs are healthier, stronger, and maintain their reproductive life and quality of life longer on a species appropriate diet. No ear infections, bloat, or a host of immune problems that plague dry dog food fed dogs. I have 7 and 8 year old dogs that have never been to a vet except for rabies vaccinations. Feeding good food is less expensive than vet bills. Until dog owners optimize the dog''s environment with the best food and exercise the full genetic expression of the dog is masked by a poor environment.

A Good dog food can be different for different people...It depends on a lot of things...like what's available to you...What works for your dogs...and What price can you afford...
I tell people to look for a Good Grain Free Dog Food and feed some fresh stuff like RAW Meats and Vegetables...
Price DOES NOT dictate what is Good or Bad...Price is ONLY what people will pay for something...
So I would say do your homework...then try some foods on your dogs and see what works for them...But I would definitely feed some Fresh...RAW Meats and Veggies...

...And personally I wouldn't put too much store by what the big show winners say they feed. It pays to advertise. The truth might be different.  If someone is happy with the results of the named food, that's one thing.  Believing the hype and using that food for your dog(s) can be another.
