You know comments that are made in general about ant subject have cery little merit as they are usually based on bias. Look at the "aAmerican golden retirever that walks your neighborhood and tell me they are excellant representatives of the breed. Have you seen narrow muzzles, high hips, poor hips, hips that are not even exrayed before breeding. If you answer no you have been looking with your eyes closed. Color has very little to do with the quality of any animal, it is a preference. The breeder is the key to continued quality. I have seen shepards that can stand on their own legs, I have also seen retrievers that are poor animals so call it like it is. Look at each dog before you judge.

Can't stand those "cream" and "white" retrievers. What part of GOLDEN do these people not get?
