1. 12 working spots including decoys available at $125.00 for the weekend or $75.00 per day. (Working Spots consist of one decoy or one Handler/Dog Team)

2. Unlimited spectator spots at $40.00 for the weekend or $25.00 per day.

3. Pre-Registration Ends March 9, 2012; payments after this day will be charged an additional $25.00 for working spots.

Workshop Details:

The purpose of this workshop is to teach decoys and handlers to train the fundamentals of the following:

-Puppy through young adult targeting and entry technique

-Basic through advanced guarding technique

-Basic to Advanced Defense of Handler (French and Mondio)

-Basket guard (all sports)

-Pattern blind searches (French ring)

-Basic and Advanced escort/transporting (all sports)

-Stop Attack

-Obedience around multiple decoys

-Stretching, fitness and nutrition pertinent to the role of decoy.

Mark Keating

Mark is one of two trainers at Red Star Kennel. He has been training dogs in protection work since 1998 in various sports including Schutzhund, French and Mondio Ring, PSA (Puala Linda’s dog Ciko to a PSA Level II) and SDA. Mark took 1st place amongst the U.S. decoys in the NARA super selection in 2007. He was also the winner of Decoy of the Year.

Since he began participating in French Ring in 2004, Mark has decoyed over 30 trials including the 2009 central zone regional championships. Mark has also trained to title over 12 dogs from Brevet to Ring III coaching all of the obedience, agility and protection work. Including two Presa Canarios (brevet & Ring I), two Renascence Bulldogs (brevet), a boxer (Ring I), a Bouvier (Ring II), a Dutch Shepherd (Ring I) and 4 Malinois (2 Ring III, 2 ring I). Currently, Mark is preparing Dangermouse (Ring I), along with Irina Shimko, for the competition season of 2012.
