Hello and greetings to the Pedigree Database nation, I would like to introduce myself as I'm a new member here.

My name is Sasha, 28 years old, an Ukrainian lsraeli, living in Israel. I'm being a part of a local Kennel here ,not an owner or anything, nor a breeder so far just a very dedicated dog lover. the Kennel is known as the Zwinger vom Ellispark, they mostly raise, breed and train German Shepherd show line dogs, including Long Coated ones. But my part at the Kennel mostly focuses on the Pembroke Welsh Corgis, as I'm a huge fan and lover of this shortlegged Royal breed :) these creatures are just magical and they have fascinated me during my whole life.

I have recently had my Corgi girl's first litter, and I've been raising her babies at the moment who are now 1 month old, this whole process is just incredible.

I was a little disappointed to see there were no discussions at the Pembroke Corgi forum recently, I was kinda hoping I would find more Corgi people to discuss our precious Corgis with. well it seems like German Shepherds would be the main theme for discussions in here :)

I'm very pleased to meet you people

Greetings from Jordan Sasha and welcome to PDB, that is a beautiful dog indeed though I am not familiar with the breed, glad to know you are also involved in German Shepherd, my beloved breed.

Hello Ibrahim and greetings back to you :) thank you for welcoming me!

and Jordan means we're neighbors too, where does Jordan belong by the way? To the FCI or is it something else ?

I have seen your recent post about a beautiful GSD male that seems to have an incredible movement according to the photo, a Pakistani GSD. really impressive, you must be proud.

yes indeed the Corgis are not that well known in the Middle East area as far as I know, or in any Arab countries from what I've seen so far. Though there's a very well known Collie Kennel located in Qatar, and the Collies belong to the same group as they both are herding dog breeds.

what kind of GSD do you love and keep ? working line, show? Long haired or short ? own a Kennel in Jordan ?

Yes Sasha, we are neighbors. Jordan unfortunately does not belong to any dog club yet. I have both show and work lines, I love and appreciate both though I wish our breed remained one. My dogs are stock hair and I am not a breeder, if I can find breed worthy GSDs I might just start.

wish you all the best

I personally prefer the working line GSD for some reason, though the Kennel where I belong they don't keep working line but only show dogs, though these dogs are being trained and everything and seem to have a very good drive. But I mean the appearance, and maybe some other things, something really fascinated me in those working line GS dogs. I bet that many breeders here who keep them could understand me. But I sure agree with you that they would better be one breed.

well, as far as you're enough experienced with this breed and it sounds like you are, I see no reason not to give a try to the breeding thing. There's plenty of wonderful females, from what I've seen so far it's mostly in places like Germany, the US and Eastern Europe. Best working line GS dogs are probably in the Netherlands and Germany (it's according to people I know who bought them overseas) I'm sure there would be more places I haven't heard yet so far then I'm here to learn and educate myself a little :)
