the malipup is a typical preybiter as well, very nice temperament but says nothing if he will bite for real
A good dog with civil agression does NOT need training to bite, he needs training to be obedient mainly , to be in control
and another BS story is that dogs with civil agression are non social, or badass, handleragressive dogs
however the video shows that dogs bred from titled sportdogs are just pet dogs if not trained in sport

The point is most dogs will do nothing with a stranger in their garden today. Too many people Think they will have a killer in their home the reality will suprise this owners. How many breeders will test real reality protection today ...Almost nobody who I can take serious. It is rare to find real serious breeders and trainers on that level

It's actually not that hard to find a trainer that could teach your dog how to defend the home and how to react in that kind of situation.
Most people participating in dog sports DON'T want a dog that will attack anyone that comes onto their land. They do it for sport and still want their dogs to be social and safe when not on the field. The handlers CHOOSE not to make their dogs personal protection dogs or dogs that will react in real life situations.
Maybe being involved in actually training dogs would help sort this out instead of just surfing the web for videos?

I was clearly talking about the people that sell protection dogs to others for thousands of dollars without any training and making people believe those dogs would protect them. Not sure how the few dogs you've seen in a military setting make you out to be someone who "preys on the suckers" but live with whatever you want.

Look, I acknowledge your input on sport, and though I am familiar with sport as I have titled dogs in two different decades and have trained with some top sport trainers, I seldom post on sport training or sport dogs except in the context of them being successful or washing out of LE academies.
Sport trainers often give the impression that all training ( especially bitework) and good dogs starts and ends with them. I assure you that most long time LE trainers/dogs have the same opinion of sport trainers/dogs as sport trainers/dogs have of LE trainers/dogs.
Yet, I consistently see sport folks evaluate, assess or degrade LE training or dogs. Most sport trainers have no more knowledge about real bitework or tracking, than LE handlers/trainers have about training for points. Pure and simple....so when I see statements like you made, in the LE world it isn't true. All dogs in LE certainly don't come from donations or homes, but plenty of them still do. And many of these dogs will defend property or person before training which is often why they end up with PD depts.

The first was when I was in my 30's and had come home with a date that I had never gone out with before. He came inside my Apt. for about an hour and my dog was fine. Just ignored him. But when he went to leave, he placed his hand around my wrist to say goodby. In a flash, my male had his mouth on the mans wrist.... not biting it.... just holding it. It had never happened before and never since and I was completely surprised.
Second time was when my brother was visiting for a few days. On the second or third day, we were sitting in the living room and he was playing tug with my male. I got up to get some water and he also got up to follow me, Immediately my male jumped in between us and facing my brother started a warning (stay away) bark. In other words he was fine as long as no one got between him and me. Again really surprised me.
So I do believe that some dogs have it bred in them.
